Super Nintoaster gets us all ready for the N64toaster

toaster

Weve seen people put old Nintendo systems into all kinds of things, but Im pretty sure this is the first time Ive seen a Super Nintendo inside a toaster. I guess you just cant deny that cartridges and slices of bread arent completely dissimilar.

Yep, its a working SNES in a stark white toaster enlivened with a red glow. The Super Nintoaster comes from the BenHeck.com forums, home of dozens of spectacular modders. vomitsaw, builder of the Super Nintoaster, has apparently tread this ground before; this effort was inspired by an older project, which involvedas you may have guessedputting an NES into a toaster.

I like it, but call me when it can play my games and make my toast. According to this hilarious video, the Super Nintoaster cannot. Weak.

Netflix headed for the Wii?

There’’s a new survey from Netflix making the rounds, asking customers if they”d like to watch Netflix on the Wii. The service would apparently require a $9.99 “Netflix Instant Streaming Disc,” which users could pop into the system when they wanted to watch — far be it from Nintendo to offer a firmware update. While many of the folks we know are already getting Netflix on their Xboxen, the Wii would obviously let Netflix hit a lot more households with those Instant Watch goodies, if this ever comes to pass. As for Sony, it’’s still denying any plans for Netflix on the PS3, but perhaps this would help change its mind (and won”t involve another $10 DVD — we only have so many Hamiltons to go around).
