Hyrulecraft: Ocarina Of Time Recreated In Minecraft

This is a video of Hyrulecraft, the entire world from the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time recreated 1:1 in Minecraft . You can download the entire thing now, but its creators are currently working on setting up a server with quests, etc. to make it that much funner. I’m gonna hang out with the Gorons and make bombs! Hyrulecraft is a 1:1 scale replica of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, in Minecraft! With the alpha map already available as a download, the project has now entered stage 2. The HC team hopes to have a completed server ready later this year which will include a unique Minecraft MMO experience including quests, NPCs, dungeons, free build zones, guilds, and more of the classic Minecraft stuff you know and love. Are you thinking what I’m thinking? “You want to live there?” Yes! Now somebody TRON my ass in there pronto. “We don’t have that technology.” Fine — Monkey Island it is, now blast me with that laser thingy. Hit the jump for a video tour and a link to the project page with downloads.

Legend Of Zelda Overworld Map Beer Pong Table

Combining two of my favorite things in the whole entire universe (which, contrary to popular belief, I’m the master of), this is a Legend of Zelda beer pong table constructed from 128 printed screenshots of the overworld from the original game. Would I play on it? Yes. Would I chop the thing in half with a Master Sword replica if I lost? Also yes. Plus chase the winners out into the street and make them dive into traffic from between parked cars. What? I’m a sore loser! Paper-rock-scissors to see who goes first? Hit the jump for one more shot from the other side and a video.

LEGO/Nintendo, Get On This: LEGO Legend Of Zelda

This is a rendering of Link and some of his various swords/weapons (more after the jump) created by LEGO/Zelda lover Michael Inglis. Michael has actually been 3-D printing his own Zelda accessories for awhile, but hopes LEGO and Nintendo might rub butts in the future and produce some real, licensed playsets. OMG, yes! Then — THEN — they could make a LEGO Zelda video game but instead of being 3-D like the rest of them will be an HD reboot of the original AAAAAH BONER BONER BONER. Hit the jump for some more accessories, a stop-motion LEGO/Zelda movie Michael made a couple years ago, as well as the link to the “petition” which LEGO will review if it collects 10,000 likes.

It’s Dangerous To Go Alone, Want Some Company?: Hacked Legend Of Zelda Marriage Proposal

A Zelda-loving couple recently got engaged after brobro hacked an emulated version of The Legend of Zelda to display a “will you marry me?” screen upon entering the cave at the beginning to collect your wooden sword. *sobbing uncontrollably* Always an usher, never even a groomsman. We had been playing the original Legend of Zelda on an emulator the previous weekend. (My fiance owns the original NES cartridge too, but the emulator makes hacking easier.) A few nights before, he and his roommate finished it, so he asked if I wanted to do the second quest. I said sure, so he turned on the computer and I started playing. When I entered the cave with the old man, (who normally says “It’s dangerous to go alone. Take this!”) who gives you a sword, it instead said what you see in the picture above. I looked over at my fiance; he was kneeling and holding a heart container made out of Legos. The ring was inside. Obviously I said yes! Edit: Many of you have asked if we are planning on doing a Zelda wedding. I think that’s a bit too nerdy for us… AHAHHAHAHAHA @ “I think that’s a bit too nerdy for us”. You already had a Zelda themed wedding proposal. If you think for one second dude isn’t gonna try cutting the cake with a Master Sword replica you’ve got another thing coming. Probably fairy-in-a-bottle wedding table decorations. F***, that’s actually a good idea! Hit the jump for a shot of the LEGO heart container ring “box”.

Where’s Zelda?: Giant Triforce Snow Sculpture

This is a giant triforce sculpture carved out of the side of a mountain snow (I just looked for the first time). It was created by the two beer-swigging goons in the picture, both of whom look suspiciously like guys I went to high school with that made fun of me for playing Magic: The Gathering during lunch. A couple things: 1. why is there shit on the ground under the triforce and 2. does it belong to the leprechaun hiding in the streetlamp in the background? Hoho, thought I wouldn’t recognize you, did you, little green man?! Too bad I memorized THE AMATEUR SKETCH ! *cocking bb gun* Don’t make me rent a backhoe. Legend of Zelda Triforce Snow Sculpture For Your Winters [obviouswinner] Thanks to Terry, who’s not only eaten yellow snow, but white snow with a brown dog surprise inside . Haha, now you probably have worms!

Lifesize Papercraft Link From Legend Of Zelda

This isn’t the first lifesize papercraft Link we’ve seen, it’s just the first one we’ve seen outdoors . Created by DeviantARTist stuioofmm (aka Michaela Something), it’s always nice to see a character in their natural element . Mine? My natural element is in the middle of a epic battle box of Girl Scout Cookies. :/ Link is a life size papercraft model standing around 5′5. He is made completely from 250 gsm paper (about 4x stronger then normal paper). He has foam core supports in the top and bottom of his pants, top and bottom of his boots and a ring in his waist. There is also some in the back of his shield, and in the handle of the master sword. Link is made from 250+ pages, the initial template is 198, but there are layers of strips of paper inside for support, and 831 pieces. I worked on him constantly for a month, working approximately 12 hours each day but sometimes that number could go up to 20. Not gonna lie, when I first saw a thumbnail picture I thought he was a giant piata. “Haha — you would, GW!” I would what — hit that? All night long. Or him me, I don’t care. I swing every which-way, including blindfolded . What can I say, I’m kinky. “Pfft, blindfolds aren’t even kinky.” They are when you’re banging tree-people! Soothing: Zelda Theme Played On Xylophone

Okay it’s not actually a xylophone, it’s a marimba, which is like a xylophone, but without all the crazy spelling. The first video is the main Zelda theme , but there are a couple other ditties as well, including the Song of Storms , Gerudo Valley theme, Saria’s Song and the Song of Time. Me? I just belted out Britney Spears’ ‘Lucky’ in the shower as loud as I could not realizing my roommate had brought people over. WTF DEREK — I NEVER BRING FRIENDS OVER UNANNOUNCED. “I know — because you don’t have any!” OMG I am so gonna kill you tonight. Hit the jump and get your dink-ditty-dink, a-dinkity-dinky-doo, a-dink-dinky-do, a-dinky-dinky-do, a-dink-da-da-dink-da-da-dink on.

‘Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword’ Preview

This is the preview for the upcoming ‘ Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword ‘ shown at the currently-happening San Diego Comic-Con. Not gonna lie, I’m getting pretty excited thinking about it (plus naked mermaids!). Yes it’ll require digging my Wii out the back of my closet, and will probably be the last game I play before selling the console at auction signed ‘The Geekologie Writer’, but it’ll be worth it. Also: buying my signed console . SixDollarsSixDollarsWe’veGotSixDollarsOverHereDoIHearAMillion? Hit the jump AND GET PUMPED. Or don’t, it’s not my problem if you’re not into having fun.
