Reddit user Homerliwag designed this custom Indiana Jones themed engagement ring for his own Marion, because she loves the movies so much. The ring itself resembles Indy’s coiled whip, and the stone the golden idol. Was it cheaper than a traditional diamond engagement ring? No clue, but that was pretty clever of him if it was. That gives me an idea… Geekologie Writer : Will you marry me? Girlfriend : …This is a Nerd Rope necklace with a Ring Pop pendant. Geekologie Writer : I know, you love candy. Girlfriend : Yes — my answer’s yes! Hit the jump for several more shot including a design schematic.

This is a video from some POS ‘ reality ‘ wedding show that I’ll vehemently deny l’d ever watch (despite the fact that like 20% of my DVR is Bridezillas I can’t bring myself to delete because I might want to watch them again), featuring a creepy ring-bearing Gollum. Some show background, which I TOTALLY DID NOT copy/paste from the TLC website trying to find out what time it comes on: Every bride thinks she’s having the perfect wedding, but what if four brides agree to be guests at each other’s weddings to decide which is best? Tune into find out as these brides score each other’s big day for a fabulous honeymoon vacation prize. Anyway, some couple who obviously don’t understand the concept of winning decided it would be a good idea to have SOME CREEPY DUDE DRESSED UP (down?) AS GOLLUM come out of a pond to be the ring bearer. You really just have to see it to believe it. But one ring thing’s for sure: that shit was classy as a Mordorf***er. Hit the jump for more sexy than should be legal for a wedding ceremony.

Bad Ideas: Gollum As Wedding Ring Bearer

Seen here donning their best (but still very bad) Jessica Rabbit and Superman costumes, English couple Nyssa Pratten, 19 and Rob Taverner, 32 (CRADLE ROBBER!) tied the proverbial nuptial noose in a comic book/ cartoon-themed wedding this week that gives every indication of being planned entirely the night before. Kidding guys, you look great. Well, Nyssa anyways. Bride Nyssa walked down the aisle to the ‘Star Wars’ theme, and after confirming their nuptials the happy couple left to the famous ‘Looney Tunes’ exit music. Mr Taverner said that he and his wife had a shared love of cartoons and comics. He said: ‘I’m what everyone calls a ‘geek’, into all the nerdy stuff like computers, comics, sci-fi and graphic novels. ‘Nyssa’s into more of the girlie stuff like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but she’s learning - she gets really proud of herself when we’re all chatting and she gets a reference.’ The blushing bride, who is 15 weeks pregnant, said that it didn’t take her long to choose her outfit. “…gets really proud of herself when we’re all chatting and she gets a reference”. Don’t worry Nyssa, I know the feeling. I nearly crap my khakis with pride every time I pick up on a reference. Which, admittedly, is rare. “Dammit GW, you’re like a child who wanders into the middle of a movie and wants to know…” *BRAAAAAAAAP!* Big Lebowski, BIG LEBOWSKI! Hit the jump for a couple more shots, including some of the other colorful characters that were there for the ceremony (including a dude in a Supergirl costume — ZANY!)

Can’t decide which superhero you want on your cake ? No problem — just slap a bunch on there! Just don’t slap Hulk’s ass, because he can and will get angry ON YOUR FACE. Robin? Not so much. “Holy tweaked nips, Batman — you could cut glass with those things!” “I know, Robin, just a little something Catwoman taught me from her jewelry-heist days.” …. “Hey Batman?” “Yes Robin?” “Wanna shower together?” “To the bat-throom!” Action Figures Cake [buzzfeed] Thanks to RaptorJesus, hands down the sexiest religious figure for 75-million years and counting.

Listen, if you can convince your wife that a dead tauntaun would make the perfect wedding cake I WANT YOU TO HOLD ON TO THAT WOMAN. I want you to hold on tighter than you do the dashboard when she’s driving (I’ve seen your knuckles! Also, the way she drives). That said, you think they cut the cake with a lightsaber ? I mean, it’s only appropriate. Also, a slave Leia jumping out and humming the Star Wars theme. What can I say, I’m a natural wedding planner. Hit the jump for four more shots, including a cute Stormtrooper couple.

This is a steampunk wedding cake created by Mike’s Amazing Cakes in Seattle, WA and photographed by Libby Bulloff. I want to put my face in it so bad. I heart fondant ! Liz and Austin’s steampunked wedding cake. The metallic gears, doors, rivets, and panels were all made of fondant and were entirely edible. This is probably the baddest-ass wedding cake you will ever see. Respect. Best part: the cake tasted just as decadent as it looked! I had a slice of the lemon layer after photographing it. Anybody else like the title I came up with? Thanks, I thought that was pretty clever myself. Gears Of War: A Steampunk Wedding Cake . Because marriage is like a war or something. Except mine. Mine was like a GW genocide. Hit the jump for a closeup.
