Blowing Chunks:121-Degree Rollercoaster Fall

Fun for the whole family! (except children under 48″) This is a picture of Japan’s new Takabisha roller coaster at the Fuji-Q (NOT Suzie-Q) Highland amusement park near Mount Fuji. It features a 121-degree drop so, not only will you be ejected from your seat, but hit by the coaster car afterward . You hear that, Disneyland?! There’s a new happiest place on earth AND IT’S CALLED HEAVEN. …the Takabisha roller coaster boasts the world’s steepest freefall: A gut-melting 121 degrees capable of inducing g-force levels equivalent to those experienced by fighter pilots. The 141-foot, 62mph drop is merely the cherry that tops a 2-mile-long roller coaster cake filled with seven major twists and turns Count me in — I f***ing looooooove puking. Helps remind me I’m alive. Also, that I boozed as hard as I could. GO BIG OR GO HOME! Ooooooooor to the hospital to get my stomach pumped. That charcoal taste is growing on me. Hit the jump for two videos of the dizziness. The first from the ground, the second from the front seat. Now I don’t feel so good.

The Roller Coaster Of Love Euthenasia: A Coaster Designed To Kill All Passengers

This is a conceptual roller coaster designed by Royal College of Art doctoral student Julijonas Urbonas to kill all the riders as fun and ethically as possible. WHEEEEEEEEE!! *eyes roll back in head* “Euthanasia Coaster” is a hypothetic euthanasia machine in the form of a roller coaster, engineered to humanely — with elegance and euphoria — take the life of a human being. Riding the coaster’s track, the rider is subjected to a series of intensive motion elements that induce various unique experiences: from euphoria to thrill, and from tunnel vision to loss of consciousness, and, eventually, death. Thanks to the marriage of the advanced cross-disciplinary research in space medicine, mechanical engineering, material technologies and, of course, gravity, the fatal journey is made pleasing, elegant and meaningful. Meaningful? How is dying on a roller coaster meaningful? Dying saving kittens from a burning building, now that’s meaningful (plus will get you mad play in heaven). Dying trying to jump a previously un-jumped number of buses on a burning bicycle, that’s meaningful. Dying on a roller coaster? That’s not meaningful, that’s not pulling your lap bar down far enough (my brother and I both slid out of The Beast at King’s Island and got free season passes!). The Euthanasia Coaster is designed to be fun, briefly [dvice] Thanks to Dan, who refuses to ride any coaster that doesn’t stand a chance of killing him. That’s, uh, that’s all of them.

Vomit Comet: World’s Fastest Roller Coaster

This is a video of the Ferrari F-1 roller coaster in Abu Dhabi. It does 0 to 62 in two seconds and tops out at 150MPH. Impressive, Ferrari roller coaster , but I’ve gone faster. On a bike . Sure it was in a dream and the bike also flew like the one in E.T., but I’ll be damned if any bug-eyed alien is riding in my bike-basket. And that, my friends, is why I just scattered a big bag of Reece’s Pieces in the middle of the highway. Haha, have fun trying to phone home from the grill of a semi, you extra terresturd! Hit the jump for 2:00 of pant-filling action.

Harry Potter Section Of Universal Studios’ Islands Of Adventure Coming This Spring

Maybe you already knew this because you’re a Hogwarts graduate but Universal Studios is opening a Harry Potter themed section of its Islands of Adventure park in Orlando this spring. Magic! From what i can tell it’s gonna be like three rides ( NSFW ) and twelve ridiculously overpriced restaurants and stores. Whee! (Get me a new wizard hat) Speaking of Harry Potter, you know what I saw the other day? Some grown-ass adult driving around with a ‘My Parents Blatantly Hid My Hogwarts Acceptance Letter’ bumper sticker on his car. So you know what I did? I honked to get his attention and then waved my own little wand at him. Yeah, it was pretty magical. Official Site Thanks to evan, who cast off his wizard robe and hat and was subsequently banned from all amusement parks.

It Adds Excitment: Chess On Rollercoasters

Chess on rollercoasters is a phenomenon allegedly started by another xkcd cartoon (which you can see by clicking the link or hitting the jump). It’s probably old as all hell and I should be beat mercilessly between your breasts as punishment. Go ahead, I can take it. *BWUBWUBWUBWWUB!* I deserved that. Oh, and you might want to keep those out, I feel an old streak coming on. Holy shit — hands painted like animals ! Hit the jump for the cartoon and several others, including one with a bikini and one with some Jenga action going on because I roll deeper than the Marianas Trench.
