Remember last year’s release of Super Mario Converse special editions ? Well they’re back with another, this time in low-tops. Me? I like my tops muffin . Dropping next month for an undisclosed amount of gold coins, the Converse Japan One Star Super Mario Bros OX are the perfect shoes for doing a little princess saving. Ooooooor walking to the liquor store. They are NOT for kicking shit though. And neither are flip-flips (that’s how I got worms). Converse One Star Super Mario Bros. OX [highsnobiety] Thanks to Jacques, who claims he used to have a pair of Altered Beast Asics back in the day. Get the f*** out!

This is a bust (like taytays!) created by artist Ryan Renders of Darth Vader and Skeletor’s lovechild. Now I’m not sure who was the top and who was the bottom in the relationship, but Skeletor doesn’t wear anything but a hood and a loincloth — you do the math . “Yeah but Vader gets all soft at the end of Return of the Jedi — he was probably the bottom.” Okay you are getting way too in depth on this. Hit the jump for some close-ups.

Risks: we’ve all taken them. Maybe it going out on a blind date, crossing a street with your eyes closed, or jumping off your parent’s roof with a garbage bag parachute . Buuuuuuuuuuut those aren’t the kind of risks I came to talk about. This is RISK like, all caps. The game . You just lost it. Enter the limited edition (of 2,014) Metal Gear Solid themed RISK game. It includes added content and new ways to play, none of which involve using Monopoly hotels as super-armies like the way I used to. *flipping board* NUCLEAR STRIKE! This is a real game in development featuring Super Mario Bros. BUT WITH PROTALS!!!!11 (Protals are the new portals btw). It will eventually be released for free but you can’t play it yet because, well, that’s life. Oh shishi, you want some game facts? COO BRO I GOT THAT. All the source code of the game will be available after release The game will have mappacks, which will be downloadable from ingame. Users most likely won’t be able to publish maps directly, but will be able to send them in and we’ll add them for everyone to use. The primary maps will have a story and some portaly puzzles. What kind, well, we’ll figure that out as we go Level editor will be embedded in the game so you can edit the level while you play Original SMB levels and Lost levels will be included Simultaneous Multiplayer Looks promising. And I don’t say that about just any game. Yes, yes I do. You know how they always make a super shitty video game to accompany every kid’s movie that comes out? I’ve played all of them. Aaaaaaaaand I regret it. Hit the jump for a video of the gameplays.

This is the latest Adidas x Star Wars gear to hit the street. And by street I mean sales rack, because this ain’t the kind of shit that’s gonna be sold out the back of a truck. iPhone 5 knock-offs yes, and I’ll give you a great deal on one because you seem like a good person/I like you. Anyway, Star Wars Adidas gear — it looks good and it’s expensive. Just remember: you get what you pay for . Except me. Because one time at Starbucks I paid for an iced latte but got a vanilla fappuccino . Crazy, I know. In hindsight I may have taken somebody else’s drink. Hit the jump for the rest of the collection including a pair of wampa kicks I’m actually considering.

Special EDITION. We saw the first two designs of the special edition release of Mario/Converse Chuck Taylors back in this post , and here are the other two designs (scheduled to drop in August). The first is of a Mario overworld scene , the second is of the final boss battle with Bowser. Both contain hidden images on the inside of the ankle-part. Personally, I’m not into novelty shoes, but that’s because I only wear flip-flops. And not the expensive kind either — the cheap rubber ones you can buy at the grocery store where if the little thong button pops out you can just jam it back in with a finger. You know, like the ones Jesus used to wear. “Jesus never wore those.” HA — how would you know, have you met him? “No, but I talk to him in prayer.” And you asked about his shoes?!?! Hit the jump for the other pair.

Note: Video has some cussin’. Ever wanted to see a fan-film combining one of the best video game franchises of all time with one of of the best movies of all time to produce a mediocre short? Well you’re in luck, because this is that! I just hope you didn’t waste one of three genie wishes on making it happen though, because you might be disappointed. Ooooooor about to get knocked the f*** out and the lamp stolen. Per the synopsis: Shortly after the events of Ocarina of Time, Doc Brown tells Link he must travel back to time, chronicling the Legend of Zelda series in the ultimate timeline. Will Link survive his heroic quest? Spoiler alert: No. Wait — Link dies?! WUH TEH FUH! That is sooooooo not cash. That is not even coins, that is dryer lint and candy wrappers. Which, unfortunate fact: a grocery store cashier will not take in exchange for a steak. Not even if its a Indian star Tootsie Pop wrapper. DAMMIT LADY — IN CANDYLAND THIS IS LIKE A MILLION DOLLARS! “This isn’t Candyland.” Fine, FINE. Trade me a pork chop for a half-eaten Ring Pop? Hit the jump for over five minutes of huh?

Luke, I am your father. Just kidding, he and your mother were shot in a robbery! Ever wonder what a Batman / Ewok lovechild would look like? F*** you’re a freak. Seriously, it might not hurt to peep Amazon for some self-help books on that shit. You krinkier than a tauntaun stomach full of lightsaber dildos aside, this is a sketch by Lucas Lago depicting your wildest fantasies. Note: slightly larger version HERE in case you want to print it out and tape it inside a copy of National Geographic for some “bathroom reading”. Grab an extra roll of TP and go to town, champ! Lucas’ Website via Batman X Star Wars [laughingsquid] Thanks to cocoa, who promised to draw me some GW/dino lovechildren for Valentine’s. GIRL YOU SO GOOD TO ME.

This is a Matrix / Big Lebowski mashup in which Morpheus tries to explain the Matrix to The Dude. I was impressed. And not just because I’m a big Big Lebowski fan, but I do set aside at least one night a week to mix white russians and bowl watch Julianne Moore fly around her house naked. What? No you can’t come next time! It’s sort of a private thing we do. Just kidding, I only have one pair of binoculars and I don’t like sharing. Hit it for the worthwhile mashup.

Note: This pic is small and doesn’t do the piece justice so to see the whole thing click CHEER . Oh shit, oh shit — spirit fingers! DeviantARTist gottabecarl went and mashed the Futurama and X-Men universes together. This is what he got. Oh really — then what about the superpowers you’re not telling us about?! ARE YOU X-RAY VISIONIN’ MY NIPPLES RIGHT NOW?! You wanna? A friend of mine suggested one day that it would be cool to see the characters of Futurama as X-Men and so I drew him Fry as Cyclops. For some reason I couldn’t just stop there…and what came of it was a pretty extensive illustration with some of the most obscure characters from both the X-Men and Futurama universes. Great job, Carl. It’s times like these I wish God would have given me some sort of artistic talent. But alas, all I got was a face that could make Adonis cry and a wiener that NASA wants to use as a ladder to the moon. Still, I wish I could draw. Carl’s deviantART Thanks to Martin, who once mashed Batman and Robin together and got, well, Batman and Robin rubbing twinkies.
