They Came From Below: Possible UFO Found At The Bottom Of Sea

I bet it’s a portal to Atlantis! Is this the sonar image of a crasehd 60-foot UFO , 285-feet deep at the bottom of the Botnia Gulf? HELL NO IT’S NOT, DUMMY. And take that foil hat off, you look ridiculous. Swedish sea treasure hunters have found something extraordinary: A 60-foot disc sunk in the bottom of the ocean, with what appears to be 985-foot-long impact tracks leading to it. You see a lot of weird stuff in this job but during my 18 years as a professional I have never seen anything like this. The shape is completely round… a circle. Those are the words of Peter Lindberg, commander of the Ocean Explorer. He and his team found the strange disc on June 19 2011, at 285 feet below the surface of the Botnia Gulf, which is located somewhere between Finland and Sweden in the Baltic. Well shit, somebody needs to dive their ass down there and put this mystery to rest! Wait a minute…isn’t this how Michael Crichton’s ‘Sphere’ started? Oh shi-shi, now I’m thinking about ‘Jurassic Park’ again! *taking off pants* Hit the jump for a video about the finding.

Of Course, The One Thing I Love Is Killing Me: Beds May Emit Raditation, Cause Cancer

Wonderful news: apparently my only remaining love in life might be slowly killing me. That’s right — box-springs may act as giant radiation-spewing antennas, filling our bodies with the nasty while we sleep . And all this from trying to figure out why breast cancer is 10% more likely to appear in the left boobie than the right. GOD, JUST TAKE ME NOW! *eying margarita on nightstand* Whoa whoa whoa, not so fast big guy — I’ve been saved. The research, carried out by Hallberg Independent Research and the Karolinska Institute, both in Sweden, attempts to correlate the fact that most people tend to sleep on their right side and that the length of a box spring mattress in America is exactly the right length to make it act as an amplifier for FM and TV waves. “Thus, as we sleep on our coil-spring mattresses, we are in effect sleeping on an antenna that amplifies the intensity of the broadcast FM/TV radiation,” writes Scientific American. “Asleep on these antennas, our bodies are exposed to the amplified electromagnetic radiation for a third of our life spans.” The radiation would be the strongest almost a meter above the surface of the box spring, which would mean that the side of your body that you’re not sleeping on would get hit the hardest. In most cases, that’d be your left. Sounds pretty convincing, doesn’t it? Too bad it’s all fake research. I’ve got two words for you: Tempur-Pedic conspiracy . Kidding, I’m not really one of those crazy conspiracy theorists (It’s those asshats over at Sleep Number and I know it!). Computer Modeling: Is This Jesus’ Face?

This a computer model of Jesus’ face using information from the blood on the Shroud of Turin to create the image. He looks like somebody I know. The image has been created for the History Channel’s upcoming special, “The Real Face of Jesus,” which is set to air next week. Ray Downing, president of Studio Macbeth, explains how they recreated the “real” face of Jesus to the NY Post: “We ‘lifted’ the blood and isolated it [on the computer],” he said, ’so that would sit ‘in air’ [on a transparent background].” Interesting, Ray, but I’ve seen the “real” face of Jesus, and it didn’t require any technical computer mumbo-jumbo. No, it came to me in Flamin’ Hot Cheeto form and I ate the whole bag except for his face without getting diarrhea . There’s no doubt it was a miracle. The “Real Face of Jesus” (PHOTO) Revealed?! [postchronicle] Thanks to Pete, who once saw the face of God in a cloud before getting struck by lighting. Geez, you can’t look directly at him, Pete! Don’t you remember the Nazis in ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’?
