It Exists: Custom Infiniti ‘N BYOND’ License Plate

On last week’s Legend of Zelda license plate post I jokingly suggested tipster Macky had an Infiniti and ‘N BEYOND’ custom plate and, not that surprisingly, somebody in Manitoba has one. No word if they have an entire Toy Story playset arranged on their dash, but you and I both know they’d be foolish not to. Thanks to benzo, whose friend allegedly took the picture. Me? I took my neighbor’s newspaper this morning.

Jian Sword Dancing, Now With More Gramma Participation!

Remember the original Jian sword dancing video ? Of course you do, you’ve been practicing those moves in the bathroom mirror with a curtain rod ever since you saw it. Well this is a new one. Except this one’s soundtrack is even better and the gramma actually gets her own scene . Granted she doesn’t actually do any dancing, but I once saw a great aunt throw a hip out dancing at a cousin’s wedding, so it’s probably for the best. Why Aunt Verla thought she could still drop it like it’s hot is beyond me, but I suspect it was all the wine talking . Please, you ain’t got these skills! *trips over dog trying to booty-clap all the way into the kitchen for a snack* Hit the jump, get your nunchucks out of your desk drawer, and follow along. But be warned: girl almost cuts the dog in half at 2:16.

Warp Me Awake, STAT: The Mario Pipe Coffee Mug

This is the $34 Mario warp pipe coffee mug from Fangamer , the same company that brought us the Mega Man energy tank coffee mug . It makes a great stocking stuffer. Or, should I say, stocking clogger ? Get it? Because it’s a pipe and sometimes pipes get clogged if you flush too many paper towels and tampons. What? I’M BEING REAL. Plus one time I flushed a pair of underwear because I’d made a mistake in the back and was too embarrassed to have my girlfriend wash them. $140 later the plumber Roto-Rooted them out and showed them to her anyways. CURSE YOU, MARIO! Hit the jump for several more shots, including the mug as a (piranha) planter.

Popular iPhone Games Recreated IRL For Music Video

This is the music video for Hey Geronimo’s ‘Why Don’t We Do Something?’ (I dunno, maybe because we’re really f***ing high and the couch is comfortable!), featuring a bunch of iPhone games recreated in real life . It’s worth checking out. The games: Flight Control, Fruit Ninja, Plants Vs. Zombies, Angry Birds and Cut the Rope. Don’t worry though, the song’s okay, but it’s not the kind that’s gonna get stuck in your head for the rest of the day like Chocolate Rain or the TROLOLOLOL song. HAHA — have fun with those two, jerks! Hit the jump for the music bideo (bideo is the new video but I don’t know why it’s not catching on).

Spiderman Eye Collage From Cut Up Comic Books

This is a collage of Spiderman’s eye made from cut-out comic book pictures by French artist Mr Garcin. This? This is a picture of my eye made from torn up Playboys. “You sure? That…looks like a b-hole.” Haha, you got me . Psyche, I got you — you’re staring at my roommate’s exit-hole! Mr Garcin’s Website via Spider-Eye Collage [buzzfeed] Thanks to Tone, who once accidentally glued his head inside a library book and had to pay for it.

What, No Surrealism?: Superhero Posters In The Style Of Different Art Movements

This is a series of superhero posters by French artist Greg Guillemin (of minimalistic pop culture characters fame) highlighting different artistic movements of the 20th centuries. My favorite artistic movement? Chubby nudes. “That wasn’t a movement.” Oh there was a movement alright — in my pants! A bowel one. I think God wired me backwards :/ Hit the jump for a bunch more.

Lifesize Papercraft Link From Legend Of Zelda

This isn’t the first lifesize papercraft Link we’ve seen, it’s just the first one we’ve seen outdoors . Created by DeviantARTist stuioofmm (aka Michaela Something), it’s always nice to see a character in their natural element . Mine? My natural element is in the middle of a epic battle box of Girl Scout Cookies. :/ Link is a life size papercraft model standing around 5′5. He is made completely from 250 gsm paper (about 4x stronger then normal paper). He has foam core supports in the top and bottom of his pants, top and bottom of his boots and a ring in his waist. There is also some in the back of his shield, and in the handle of the master sword. Link is made from 250+ pages, the initial template is 198, but there are layers of strips of paper inside for support, and 831 pieces. I worked on him constantly for a month, working approximately 12 hours each day but sometimes that number could go up to 20. Not gonna lie, when I first saw a thumbnail picture I thought he was a giant piata. “Haha — you would, GW!” I would what — hit that? All night long. Or him me, I don’t care. I swing every which-way, including blindfolded . What can I say, I’m kinky. “Pfft, blindfolds aren’t even kinky.” They are when you’re banging tree-people! Hit the jump for several more shots and a link to the artist’s DeviantART with high-res versions.

Calling All Koopas: Mario Propaganda Posters

Note: Larger shots of each poster after the jump, high-res versions available at the artist’s site. This is a small series of Super Mario propaganda posters from Bowser’s camp encouraging Mushroom Kingdomites to join his reptilian republic against his plumber enemies. Two f***ing plumbers! You have thousands of loyal (albeit dumb as question blocks) subjects and you can’t even manage to kill two measly pipe-layers? That’s some sad shit, Bow-Bow. Maybe you should, I dunno, give up on marrying the princess and settle down with a nice koopa troopa. “NEVER — PEACH WILL BE MINE!!” Dude — she doesn’t even like you. That makes you a creeper. Have you ever considered pursuing Birdo? She got that crazy-ass mouth, I’m just sayin! Hit the jump for closeups of each poster and a link to the artist’s website with even higher-res versions and 11″x17″ versions for sale ($30 apiece/$80 for all four).

‘Jonah Ray’s Arcade’ Video Game Show Pilot

No, Jonah, it’s not that big and you and I both know it. NOTE: Video is NSFW on account of mad bad words. This is the 19-minute pilot for my buddy Jonah Ray’s video game-themed comedy show, ‘Jonah’s Ray’s Arcade’. It was pitched to Comedy Central, but, unfortunately, passed on. Which is a shame because there is sooooooooo much shitty shit on TV , but THIS — this I would have at least DVR’d. Hit the jump for the whole show.

Safety Last: A Driveable Arcade Racing Game

This is an old SEGA Out-Run arcade game that’s been mounted to a golf cart and programmed with custom software that, using two hood-mounted webcams , turns real-world roads and obstacles into in-game roads and obstacles. Better buckle up! Jk jk, it’s a golf cart — what’s the worst that could happen? SPOILER: gruesome death. Yeah, better buckle up. The old fiberglass and wood cabinet was hacked up and the motors, wheels, and drive train from an electric golf cart were stuffed inside. The original steering wheel and pedals were used for the controls. Although the top speed of the in-game car is about 180 mph, that was brought down to a reasonable 13 miles per hour. The build doesn’t run on the original 68k processor. Instead, custom software is used to take real-world image data from two webcams on top of the cabinet. These images are then converted into Outrun sprites and displayed on the monitor. The software proportionally changes the speed of the in-game car, but it seems the difference between the game speed and real-life speed would be a little disconcerting. Great job guys, I’ve always wanted to drag a jogger to their death. Hit the jump for a video of the Need For Waaaaaaaaaay More Speed in action.
