I’m Driving!: Blind Man Demos Google’s Self-Driving Car

This is a video of a blind man going for a spin in Google’s self-driving car. Why does it have a steering wheel and rear-view mirror if it drives itself? No clue, I feel like you should have haggled with the car salesman a little more. Dammit, I don’t WANT pedals and I’m not gonna pay for them! The car is pretty impressive and dude even swings by a Taco Bell drive-thru for lunch because you don’t have to be able to see to appreciate a burrito. You do have to be able to taste though, so go easy on the flaming cocktails. Hit the jump for “some of the best driving I’ve ever done”.

I Bet He’s A Big Fan: Full-Back Star Wars Tattoo

Oh man, we’ve seen some pretty f***ing insane-o Star Wars tattoos in the past , and this full-back number is no exception. Just look at everything that’s going on (including the rift at the bottom that looks like a buttcrack). What’s your favorite part? My favorite part is where his neck tan abruptly stops. done by Hugo at Heroic Ink in Ames, Iowa [fyeahtattoos] (I thought that looked like an Iowa tan!) via Star Wars: The Empire Strikes This Guy’s Back [fashionablygeek] Thanks to beebs, who if I found out was my sister I’d have to kill myself ( we’ve had relations ).

Consider It A Momento: Struck By Lightning Scar

This is the scar a man received on his arm after being struck by lightning. It’s a Lichtenberg Figure , or the pattern made from an electrical discharge. As you can see, it’s kinda flowery . Still beats the shit out of any tribal tat though. How About That of the Day [thedailywh.at] Thanks to Marie, who agrees the best scars are the ones you get trying to jam your arm up in a vending machine after your snack gets stuck. Oh this one? Cooler Ranch Doritos.

Boney: Impressive Female Skeletor Cosplay

Have I ever told you when I was watching the 1987 live action He-Man movie in the theater the film got caught in the projector and melted? That’s a true story, I remember it vividly. This is a lady cosplaying as He-Man’s arch-nemesis Skeletor at Megacon 2012. She isn’t actually boney like I said in the title, that was just a reference to the real Skeletor . This girl actually looks pretty muscular — my guess is she works out. Condition her hair? Probably never. Short Fuse Pinups (me? I have zero fuse, BOOM! See?) via Raise Your Power Sword for this Female Skeletor Cosplay [obviouswinner] Thanks to Terry, who’s never cosplayed before but does moonlight as a superhero that never responds to distress calls.

Found Comic Collection Contains 44 Of 100 Top Golden-Age Comics, Expected To Fetch $2-Million

A 345-piece comic book collection discovered when Michael Rorrer was cleaning the house of his recently deceased aunt was discovered to contain 44 of the top 100 golden-age comics including Action Comics #1 ( Superman’s first appearance), Detective Comics #27 (Batman’s first appearance) and Captain America #2 (Captain America’s, get this — SECOND appearance). Man, I didn’t find anything cool cleaning out my aunt’s apartment but a cat carcass. :/ Experts say the comics are significant not only for the number of rare books, but also because they were kept in such good condition and because they were kept for all of these years by a man who bought them as a boy. “There were some really hard to find books that were in really, really great condition,” said Paul Litch, the primary grader at Certified Guaranty Company, an independent certification service for comic books. “You can see it was a real collection,” Litch said. “Someone really cared about these and kept them in good shape.” The comics are going up for auction and are expected to pull in somewhere in the neighborhood of $2-million. All proceeds will go to charity. Just kidding, all proceeds will go to Michael and his brother telling their bosses to “eat shit” when they quit their jobs. Childhood comic collection expected to fetch $2M [comcast] Thanks to Lord Tarl, who doesn’t need to sell his comic collection because he’s a lord. Me? I’m a baron.

Ready My Flying Mount!: Medieval Batman Armor

From DeviantARTist Azmal (the same leather-worker who brought us the suit of lion armor ) comes this Dark KNIGHT inspired getup. I would wear it. I would wear it, and I would charge neighborhood kids $1 apiece to throw dirt clumps at me. Then I would take all those dollars and go by myself a bottle of liquor. Then I’d go to the graveyard and cry. Hit the jump for a couple more including one of the bat paying his respects to his parents (kidding, totally somebody else’s grave) and a link to the artist’s DeviantART with a ton more worthwhile armor (check out the gryphon and dragon helmets).

Mad Hatter Tea Party Themed Wedding Pictures

Because there’s no such thing as an un-themed wedding anymore, freshly married Erin and Matt posed for these Alice in Wonderland themed photos on the day of their nuptials. Why he opted for the Johnny Depp version of the Mad Hatter from the shitty live-action movie instead of the much better cartoon one is beyond me, but I suspect it has something to do with having really bad eyebrows. HIYO, down the rabbit hole! Aaaaaaaaaand I’m stuck. Those cookies said ‘Eat Me’, I swear! “Those were Chips-Ahoy and you know it.” YOU STAY OUT OF THIS. Hit the jump for the rest of the admittedly very well-done shoot.

Hyrulecraft: Ocarina Of Time Recreated In Minecraft

This is a video of Hyrulecraft, the entire world from the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time recreated 1:1 in Minecraft . You can download the entire thing now, but its creators are currently working on setting up a server with quests, etc. to make it that much funner. I’m gonna hang out with the Gorons and make bombs! Hyrulecraft is a 1:1 scale replica of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, in Minecraft! With the alpha map already available as a download, the project has now entered stage 2. The HC team hopes to have a completed server ready later this year which will include a unique Minecraft MMO experience including quests, NPCs, dungeons, free build zones, guilds, and more of the classic Minecraft stuff you know and love. Are you thinking what I’m thinking? “You want to live there?” Yes! Now somebody TRON my ass in there pronto. “We don’t have that technology.” Fine — Monkey Island it is, now blast me with that laser thingy. Homemade: Fan-Sourced Star Wars Reboot Finished

If you didn’t already catch it this weekend, this is the 2-hour director’s cut of Star Wars: Uncut , the 15-seconds-at-a-time fan sourced (each fan was responsible for making a different 15-second scene) Star Wars: A New Hope remake . Now I didn’t have time to watch the whole thing this morning , but from what I gathered a lot more scenes were shot in people’s garages than I remember from the original. Granted I can’t say I’m surprised. Get it? I’ve never seen the original! Hit the jump for two hours of Star Wars on zero budget. Bonus points if you manage to watch the whole thing at work. Suck it, the man!
