I know the screencap looks fake as shit, but that’s only because it was shot on some Cold War era Russian video camera — the flying DeLorean is actually real . Basically some clever Ruskies made an R/C quadrocopter and added a foam DeLorean body and some light effects and PRESTO — the time machine from Back To The Future II. Sure the production value of the video is pretty low, but it’s still worth watching. Not unlike — wait for it — The Blair Witch Project . “That movie sucked.” Ahahahhahaha, I puked in the theater. Hit the jump for the high-flying, time-traveling action.

Did you read the title? Because that’s what this is . They say a picture’s worth a thousand words , but man, I think I really f***in’ nailed it with that title. With over 4,000 individual pictures, Kyle Roberts and crew wanted to recreate the nostalgic 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon introduction in stop motion. Artist, Nathan Poppe, created over 60 hand-drawn images to establish a bright and vibrant backdrop to complement Roberts’ use of action figures. Sponsored by the Toy and Action Figure Museum, curator Kevin Stark designed many of the pieces in the original 1990 TMNT toy line. Damn, I used to love me some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle cartoons on a Saturday morning. Also: pounding bowl after bowl of sugary cereal until my mom would have to lock me in a closet to calm down. Fun fact: I tunneled out with my teeth . Just like Master Splinter would have! Hit the jump for the worthwhile Friday time-waster.

Hey ladies — want to make my roommate cry for $10? it look like your garters are tearing the flesh from your legs? Pfft, who doesn’t? ME. I don’t wear stockings , I wear tights . That way I can get away without wearing underwear . But enough about my sexy-f***in’ ass — introducing OpenWoundFX’s $40 Gartered Leg Prosthetics. I…am still holding out for a pegleg. The prosthetics are re-usable and easy to wash and apply for night after night of squeamish horror! Each package contains 1 PAIR of Gartered Legs which include TWO unpainted latex prosthetics with two 2″ wide garters and two 5/8″ garter straps. These prosthetics are unpainted and come with instructions on how to apply, blend and paint them as pictured. Customize your gartered legs for a variety of different applications and effects! The prosthetics come unpainted, so you’re responsible yourself for blending the color into your own legs and adding the believable gore. That…sounds hard. Granted my makeup experience is limited to dabbling in my girlfriend’s powders when she’s at work, but it does make me feel like Barbie. Hit the jump for some more shots, application instructions, and a link to their Etsy site.

Captain America, best known for being the illegitimate lovechild of Captain Planet and Lady Liberty, likes to get around on a motorcycle . And now you can look just like him riding your bicycle with this replica suit from UD Replicas (who brought us the Batman , Star Wars and Iron Man leathers)! Unfortunately, the shield and helmet aren’t for sale so you’ll have to make your own out of a garbage can lid and watermelon. One of the most unique leather uniforms created for the screen can now be yours. Every feature as seen on film in Captain America: The First Avenger has been replicated in form-molded leather from the classic color-scheme to the aluminum accent emblems on the back, arms and forever iconic silver star emblazoned on our hero’s chest. Perfectly crafted gloves, boots, functional belt and detailed rigging complete this iconic battle-uniform that captures the retro 1940s Captian America: The First Avenger design. Jacket: $598.00 CAN Pants: $298.00 CAN Gloves: $98.00 CAN Boots: $198.00 CAN Belt: $98.00 CAN TOTAL SUIT AS A SET: $1,290.00 CAN The series is limited to 250 pieces of each part, which gives me an idea. “Buy all the belts and then sell them to the people who want the whole set AT A GIANT MARKUP?” Haha — I knew there was a reason you and I went into business together! Now get out there and give some strangers some HJ’s. Hit the jump for more shots and a link to the product page.

This is a video of a girl playing an original Pokemon love song on the ukelele. If you like Pokemon , you’ll probably enjoy it. If you’re indifferent to Pokemon , you might think it’s okay or “not bad”. But if you hate Pokemon YOU NEED TO GET A GOT-DAMN LIFE AND STOP HATING ON EVERYTHING JUST BECAUSE IT ISN’T YOUR FAVORITE. God, did your parents never teach you anything besides how to suck? No wonder you’re so f***ing miserable all the time. “Holy shit I’m a troll.” An ugly one — inside AND out. Hit the jump for all the Pokemon puns.

This is a time-lapse video of Richard “8-bit Builder” Clinton building a Link computer case inspired by the SNES classic ‘ A Link to the Past ‘. Now I don’t know about you, but I, for one, would be stoked to have that sitting on my desk. A grown man in a diaper demanding I spank him or he won’t let me get back to work? Not so much. Hit the jump for the entire build in speeded-up action.

The Lord of the Rings Project is a massive family tree created by Swedish student Emil Johansson to highlight all the familial connections between characters in the series. It contains over 800 characters and can even be modified to display only dwarves, hobbits, muggles, etc. My family tree? My family tree looks like the kind of branch you’d make a slingshot out of (I’m from West Virginia). The Lord of the Rings Project Thanks to Erik S., whose family tree looks like the tree of life: full of diversity . Good for you, really. I TOOK A COUSIN TO PROM.

This is an Archie comics themed engagement shoot (and Photoshopping) for newly committed couple Bryan and Anne by Visionary Photography Hub. I don’t know if you guys knew it or not, but I’m somewhat of a visionary photographer myself. *staring at cubicle wall through Polaroid viewfinder* This shot needs way more laser boobs. Surprisingly, everything was drawn by the company’s graphic artist, except for the diner setting which was shot at Johnny Rockets. “Photoshop was used and as well as a pen tablet for the illustrations,” [creative Director Mike] Lavarez explained to us. The greatest challenge in creating these scenes belonged not to the graphic artist, however, but to Jervy Santiago, the photographer. “He had to consider the rules of perspective in every layout,” he said. “The point of views had to be consistent since we wanted everything to look dimensional with a cinematic flair (a storyboard was involved for each angle). It had to look like they were actually with Archie and his gang.” Admittedly, I like the concept, and I rarely like anything. Not even, wait for it — candy or ice cream. *gasps from audience* Joking, you don’t get *jiggling belly* this fat eating nothing but yogurt and celery. It also took a lot of beer and — AND — surviving multiple heart attacks. “Those weren’t heart attacks, just really bad gas.” I thought that was the smell of death. Hit the jump for the whole series, which kind of tells a story. Not a particularly interesting one, but a loose story nonetheless.

This is a giant drivable R2-D2 model made to carry 7-year old Matthew Grammer as part of his Make-A-Wish Foundation request. Matthew was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in 2009, but has responded well to treatment and his family hopes his last chemotherapy treatment could come as early as March. *fingers crossed* The droid was made by Little Mountain Productions, who you may recall made this amazing Millennium Falcon play-fort as part of another Make-A-Wish project. *gets choked up, tries to play it off like it’s Vader* R2D2 was a fun challenge to build. R2 was fabricated with a simple joystick with massive on/off buttons inside. We also placed a large (kill it) button on the outside for parents. The computer is powered by 2 rechargeable gel batteries and guided by our proprietary software that is enclosed under the cushioned driver’s seat. After test-driving R2, popping wheelies and leaving tire marks in our shop, we decided it would be best if we slowed down the oversized torquey electric motors. Good lookin’, guys. And best wishes to you, Matthew. Maybe one day in your teens you’ll turn into a Geekologie Reader and stumble across this article. And on that day, my little friend, I want you to write me so we can get together and terrorize the neighborhood in your motorized droid. Get well soon. Hit the jump for several more pictures and a video of Matthew cruising around in the thing at a pep rally.

This is a castle sculptured around an actual bonsai tree by Japanese artist Takanori Aiba. If a shrink-ray existed, I would shrink myself and live there . Unfortunately shrink-rays don’t exist, so I’m stuck in this basement apartment with a serial killer living above me. Don’t ask how I know, but blood does drip through the ceiling sometimes. Hit the jump for another bonsai tree fort by the same artist.
