Remember Geekologie Reader Stefan Petit’s gallery of posters from the original Bioshock he recreated in Photoshop ? Well he just finished doing Bioshock 2′ s as well. Aaaaaand these are them. Man, I wish I could’ve seen Rapture in its heyday, that would’ve been the tits. Instead I have to settle for seeing THE rapture. “Soooooo…you’re not going to heaven?” What the — DOES IT LOOK LIKE I’M GOING TO HEAVEN?! I yelled at an old lady yesterday for walking with a limp. Hit the jump for a sample of the posters but be sure to check out the links to Stephan’s DeviantART/Behance pages for the complete, worthwhile set.

This is allegedly a teaser-trailer for a Bioshock fan-film coming out summer of 2013. At first I wasn’t that impressed at all because, f***, it’s just a guy playing dead on a beach with a big daddy doll , but there’s a single second of ultra-fast clips at the end. That…piqued my interest. Of course, I also just caught myself staring at the warts on my pinky for two minutes, so take that for what you will. I got them from petting a frog! Hit the jump for the most titillating 45-seconds of my day so far.

Bioshock’s Rapture : hands down one of my favorite video game environments to date. “Do you hold hands and kiss a lot?” Dammit — as in, ‘to this point in time’, not to wear my letter jacket, moron. This is an impressive build of the underwater city (complete with crashed plane!) by LEGOmaniac Imagine Rigney that was on display at the recent Brickworld convention. The outside is amazing, but if you’re a fan of the game, or LEGO (or both!!!1), you’ve got to see the insides as well. I posted a couple pictures after the jump, but you should really, really , REALLY go check out the artist’s Flickr page and see the high-res versions to do it justice. It even contains Sander Cohen and his creepy Quadtych masterpiece! You know, I really liked that guy alot. No — loved. I never killed him on my first play-through and actually paused the game when I got to him on my second so we could be together forever. I’m serious, that’s why I can’t play my Xbox anymore. Hit the jump for a couple more and another link to the artist’s Flickr which also contains other amazing builds including Hogwarts, Howl’s Moving Castle and Avatar.

A dirigible large enough to lift and deliver heavy equipment and buildings to remote locations? Yes if Australian make-believe company Skylifter has anything to do with it! No if the mole-people finish their network of underground railways first. This 150 meter-wide disc shaped balloon would be capable of carrying 150 tons, an increase of 700 percent from the maximum 20 tons able to be lifted by existing heavy transport helicopters. Its design provides for more stability - with its flatter profile, it acts less like a sail, making it less susceptible to winds during flights of up to 1240 miles. The disc also behaves as a parachute during descent, ensuring a gentle landing, while the low-hanging control pod keeps it from being too top-heavy. This obviously being some sort of way-too-early viral marketing for Bioshock: Infinite aside, tell me — is Skylifter supposed to be a takeoff on Sky walker , or just a crappy name decision? Because I would have gone with Sky waltzer . Skywaltzer: ” we’re dancin’ with tractors on clouds, yo! ” Disc-Shaped Balloon Could Transport Whole Buildings To Remote Areas [popsci] Thanks to ultrapony, closest thing you can get to a unicorn with actually having a corn.

Note: Trailer is after the jump so it doesn’t float away like a helium-filled prophylactic. Bioshock , a game best known for my brother and I having to play in the middle of the day with all the lights on, is coming back for a third installment, and not to Rapture either. No, this time it’s taking to the skies . Specifically, a floating cloud city called Columbia. Watch out — Lando’s gonna betray you! It’s not Rapture, it’s Columbia. It’s not underwater, it’s tied to Zeppelins and floating around the world, thousands of feet in the air. It’s not a secret, delapidated cool kid’s club, it’s a spectacle of American achievement with the same agenda as the moon landings. And you’re not a Nameless Nelly, you’re ex-private detective Booker DeWitt. You’ve been sent into this rogue 1900s Death Star to retrieve a woman called Elizabeth. She’s at the centre of some sort of conflict, she has magical powers that give her nosebleeds, and you’ll need to work together to survive and escape. Sounds promising. Granted not as promising as a promise ring , but we’re not exactly going steady, now are we? We aren’t. Especially not since I saw little Suzy Spreadlegs wearing your letter jacket. You dirty man-whore, I just poured salt in your gas tank! Huh? You’re right, that wasn’t kosher . Zing! Hit the jump for the trailer.

This is a reproduction of Eleanor Lamb’s Big Daddy doll from Bioshock 2 . They’re available for around $20 and look just like the real thing. Unfortunately, this is one doll that’s not suitable for children (NSFC), and only recommended for collectors ages 14+. You know, because your 13-year old would probably still try to put it in their mouth. And can you blame them? Yes, plus spank. Hit the jump for a couple more shots of the doll as well as some Big Daddy/Big Sister action figures and a light-up EVE syringe replica that are also available.

A-ha! It’s really true too, once you see him he’s nearly impossible to un-see . Thankfully, I have a little secret: booze . Higher proof the better. Okay, now pour it in your eyes. Can’t see him anymore, can you? Good. How many fingers am I holding up? If you answered, “none, but is that you touching my butt?”, yes, it is. Also, doing some squats wouldn’t kill you. You can’t unsee Bomberman in BioShock 2 [joystiq] Thanks to GuamOtoko, who once thought he saw Mario on the cover of God of War III but it turned out to be he was tripping his face off.
