This is Hachi. Hachi is an Akita/Chow mix that was badly burned in a house fire, leaving him looking like a Terminator . A TERMINATOR THAT JUST MELTED MY HEART INTO A PUDDLE. County fire fighters brought Hachi into Affordable Animal Hospital in Torrance with third-degree burns covering over 60 to 70 percent of his body. He was nothing but a sweetheart from the time he was carried in - black and charred with the pads of his feet literally falling off. Luckily, he responded well to treatment and luckily for someone else, he is ever so sweet. He will make a certain someone or family a very special companion. He is loyal and a totally devoted animal. Much of the burn areas covering his face and body will never grow hair back, there is not much left of his ears either… but we are looking for someone who can overlook what many may find unsightly on the outside to see what a jewel he is on the inside and be reminded of all those that are good in the world: * Fire fighters willing to risk their own lives for that of another and especially that of “just a dog.” * The vets, technicians, groomers and staff at Affordable Animal Hospital that helped him along in his recovery. * The county shelter for footing the bill of this special dog’s lengthy road back to health. Hachi is ready and waiting for a home as special as he is. Okay, who’s crying? Because I can’t even see my monitor that’s how bad that got me. For a second I actually thought I was underwater. Now, somebody (CAPABLE AND NOT A DIPSHIT) go adopt this dog or I’m not writing for the rest of the day. “You wouldn’t!” HA — you think I won’t just go out drinking and forget about you people?! HELP: Terminator Dog Needs Adopting

Somebody in England dyed a CAT (whew, way to keep it clean GW) pink and threw it over a fence into somebody else’s yard this week because they’re too stupid to realize cats don’t get jokes. Dingleberries yes, jokes no. The two-year-old, who has been named Pink, is said to be in good health. However, vets have not been able to wash the dye out of her fur and she will have to wait for it to grow out. “It is clearly not toxic but still unpleasant. “The person responsible has covered her thoroughly all over but avoided putting any around the animal’s eyes and nose. “Further washing would stress Pink and probably would not help to remove the colour so it will be case of waiting for it to grow out.” I would have named her Cotton Candy. Get it? Because she looks like cotton candy. Geez, I wasn’t trying to trick you. I do magic, not tricks. Prostitutes do tricks. And if there’s one thing I’m not, it’s a prostitute anymore. From the two-story care home where she lived in the northern English city of Bradford, 104-year-old Ivy Bean would tell her nearly 57,000 Twitter followers around the world what she did each day — from eating fish and chips to sitting in the garden. Bean’s online activity drew headlines in recent years because of her age, and she had been called the world’s oldest Twitter user, though that is difficult to verify. She became a member of Facebook at age 102, but she quickly migrated to Twitter because it was easier, she said, and because she could have more followers. She had maxed out her friend limit on Facebook. Earlier this year, Bean tweeted that she had 25,000 pending friend requests. Wait — WHAT?! Well Robert recreated the film using his costumed mini-pincher (complete with ventral-mounted laser blaster) and let me tell you: it’s f***ing cute. Reminds me of the time I dressed Chloe as the Death Star until my roommate “that’s no moon”ed her so many times it gave her a complex. Hit it for the cuteness.

AT-AT Dog Recreates ‘AT-AT Day Afternoon’

Oscar the grouch kitty was sleeping in a field when his back legs got run over by a combine harvester. That story smelling fishy as shit aside, now he has bionic legs. His new kitten heels were designed with custom-made implants, which “peg” the ankle to the foot and mimic the way deer antler bone grows through skin. In a three-hour procedure, the veterinary surgical team inserted the pegs by drilling into one of Oscar’s ankle bones in each of his back legs. The implants, which are attached to the bone at the amputation site, were coated with hydroxyapatite to encourages bone cells to grow onto the metal. Oscar was trying to stand a day after the surgery and, despite some problems with infection, he was able to bear weight equally on all four limbs within four months. Fitzpatrick said the patient had made a remarkable recovery. “Oscar can now run and jump about as cats do,” he said. Heartwarming, isn’t it? Also kind of gross. But mostly heartwarming.
