This series of spectacular planetary posters is the work of artist Stephen Di Donato. They’re styled after artwork from the 1960s, and include all eight planets but no icy dwarfs (I’m looking at you, Pluto). The “Beyond Earth” series was funded (way over-funded, in fact) on Kickstarter, but luckily for you, you can still buy digital copies of all of these images in formats ranging from iPhone all the way up to monstrous desktop (2650×1440). You get 88 (!) different images in total, including multiple formats for each poster, for a mere $10. That may have been a bunch of money in 1960, but nowdays, it’s chump change, so improve your life and buy yourself a set.

Okay subway commuters…this is pretty amazing. As a marketing strategy for the Blu-Ray release of the Star Wars saga, Tokyo subway cars were outfitted with lightsaber handrails. I’ve never encountered anything quite so geektastic on my subway commutes.

Who wouldn’t want Ewoks photoshopped into their family photos? That was Anthony Herrera’s idea, at least, when he took his kids to Sequoia National Park. Not only did he tell them Ewoks lived in the park, but he also photoshopped them into the family photos taken during the trip.

French designer Vivien Muller isn’t afraid to twist familiar technology into new, wild shapes. Take his OctoCube, for instance, pictured above. One could easily mistake it for a component designed for a Borg vessel, but it’s actually just the coolest radiator you’re ever likely to see. Down below are seven more designs from Muller that are nothing short of beautiful, the first of which — his excellent Electree — you may actually be able to buy very soon. Muller tells us it will be the first time one of his designs has been offered up for sale (barring another one that was custom built, as you’ll see in the gallery).
