DVICE is starting to feel the need, dear readers: the need for speed . We just released a shiny new version of the DVICE mobile app that’s loads faster than the old one. What’s more, at long last the DVICE app is calling Android home, too. Get it now for your Android device or iPhone, iPod and iPad .
Whenever there’s a big gadget announcement, we like to use the opportunity bring you breaking news via our Twitter feed … and to bestow some tech love on our readers. We held contests during the most recent Apple keynote as well as the reveal of the Nook Color . Now it’s time to congratulate the winners.

Yesterday, Apple had on of the company’s trademark self-lovefests , and if you were following DVICE on Twitter , you got all the news as it was happening (and not minutes after it was happening, which is what people who tuned into the “live” stream saw). One lucky reader got more than that, though.

If you have an iPhone and enjoy DVICE, you probably already know there’s a DVICE app for the iPhone . But what about iPad owners ? Well, the app has been completely revamped for your shiny new tablet. Just take a look at the screencaps in the gallery below: Not only does the interface work more like the iPad’s email reader — so you can see recent headlines and the story you’ve selected at the same time — but you can also browse stories by their photos. Sweet. We’re happy to provide our stories in a way that’s formatted specifically for this exciting new platform. And we’re even happier to be the first tech blog out of the gate with a reader app specific for the iPad. (Frickin’ EAT it, Gizmodo, you iPhone-scoop-getting losers!)
